Birmingham Panthers shooter Ané de Wet has been selected for the 12-player NXT Roses squad travelling to Jamaica this November.
The squad will play a Jamaican development side in matches that will serve as curtain raisers to the Vitality Roses’ Horizon Series fixtures against the Sunshine Girls in Kingston on 5 and 6 December.
NXT Roses is part of the Roses Pathway, supporting the development of athletes aged 19 to 23 through high-level competition and opportunities to learn what it takes to perform on the international stage.
Ané’s selection puts her among a group drawn from the NXT Gen League and Netball Super League. The tour will give the squad the chance to compete internationally and experience the environment around a senior Roses series.
Congratulations, Ané. Birmingham is proud to see you take this next step.
